Ken Hart was trained in the building trades by his European father. European craftsmanship is a craft requiring 4 years of schooling. Growing up in his early years and teen years, Ken was taken to work by his father and was taught carpentry, roofing, and masonry. Ken's father then apprenticed his son to other European craftsmen, who did slate, tile, copper-smith, and restoration work, and was building houses with two separate companies in Short Hills, Berkley Heights, and Jockey Hollow in Morristown. From there, Ken's father pulled him back into the family business that was originally started in 1920.
With all this accumulated knowledge from various European companies, trainers, and highly professional contractors and builders (unfortunately no longer here), Ken was able to obtain a vast and broad early training that has helped make Hart & Sons and his staff, with European training, who are employed between 30 to 40 years.
All one has to do to prove this out is to come to the Hart & Sons place of business, and walk through the facility, where visitors will see what Hart and Sons has accomplished. Hart & Sons employees have been working with the company for 35 years, which has helped make it as successful as it is today.
